Robert is the lead Partner and head of HopgoodGanim Lawyers’ Insurance practice.
An experienced insurance litigation lawyer, Robert regularly acts for state, national and international insurers in a wide range of personal injuries matters including workers’ compensation law, CTP (motor vehicle) claims, public liability insurance, product liability and general insurance matters.
Robert is also a panel lawyer for WorkCover Queensland in common law claims brought by insured workers. In addition, he has extensive experience acting for national retailers in public liability litigation including claims made by customers, visitors and parties injured on common property.
Under Robert’s leadership, HopgoodGanim has been included in Doyle’s Guide Leading Workers Compensation and WorkCover Law Firms (Defendant) - Queensland rankings from 2017 to 2023. Robert is also consistently recognised as a Leading Workers Compensation and Workcover Lawyer (Defendant) - Queensland, 2018 to 2023.
Robert is an active member of the Australian Insurance Law Association, Pride in Law Association and LGBTI Legal Service.
